American actress, Julianne Moore, was born in Massachusetts.
American actress, Daryl Hannah, was born in Chicago, Illinois. She gained worldwide fame after her participation in the cult sci-fi classic, Blade Runner.
French film director, Jean-Luc Godard, was born in Paris. He is considered as one of the most influential French directors of the 20th century.

British writer, Robert Louis Stevenson, died at the age of 44. Considered as one of the greatest storytellers of all time, having written such classics as Treasure Island and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
