This year in history
In the year 1820

	February 6th	The first African American immigrants settled what is today Liberia.
	February 15th	American feminist, Susan B. Anthony, was born in Massachusetts. She was one of the leading figures in the efforts for women's suffrage in the United States.
	March 15th	Maine became the 23rd US state.
	April 8th	The statue of Venus de Milo was discovered by a peasant on the Aegean island of Melos. It is at present on display at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
