Italian inventor, Antonio Meucci, was born in San Frediano, italy. He is considered by many the inventor of the Telephone. In modern day there has been a wide ranging debate as to whether he or Alexander Graham Bell was actually the inventor of the telephone. In more recent years it has been widely accepted that Meucci's contributions are what actually led to the creation of the telephone.
April
20th
Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Paris, France. He was the son of Louis Bonaparte, a younger brother of Napoleon I and served as president of the French Republic between 1849 and 1852. In 1852 he staged a coup and proclaimed himself emperor under the name Napoleon III. His reign lasted until 1870, when he was captured after a defeat in battle against the armies of Prussia. He was subsequently deposed and exiled in England, where he died 3 years later.

British entrepreneur, Thomas Cook, was born in South Derbyshire, England. He was the founder of the British travel Agency, Thomas Cook, which is still one of Britain's largest and oldest travel agencies.
