In the year 1880

	April 18th	A Force 4 tornado struck the town of Marshfield, Missouri, 99 people died and more than 150 were injured.
	June 29th	France annexed Tahiti.
	August 14th	Construction of the Cologne Cathedral, one of the most famous landmarks in Germany was completed
	October 1st	Thomas Edison opened the first electric lamps factory.
	November 6th	Austrian novelist, Robert Musil, was born in Klagenfurt, Austria. He is considered as one of the greatest novelists of modern times.
