In the year 1826

	February 11th	The University of London was founded.
	July 4th	John Adams, the 2nd President of the United States, died at the age of 91. He was an influential figure in the American revolutionary war and is considered as one of the founding fathers of the United States.
	July 4th	Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States, died at the age of 84. He was the principal author of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and was also one of the founding fathers of the United States.
